Welcome to the Graduate School at NMSU! NMSU is a recognized land grant and Hispanic Serving Institution. About Dean Reyes
Prior to coming to NMSU, Reyes was a chief executive officer for a multi-million funded state-wide, non-profit corporation in New Mexico where he provided leadership, administration, management and fiscal stewardship.  He retired after twenty – years of service and in 2000 came to NMSU from Wheelock College, Boston MA where he taught administration courses in early childhood education.  At NMSU Dr. Reyes has taught AA, BA, MA, and doctoral courses in early childhood and bilingual/TESOL education.   His research interests include early bi-language, bi-literacy, early numeracy and culture; Bilingual/TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages) international education; critical pedagogy and research as praxis.  He has co-author books, authored numerous scholarly articles in the areas of family literacy, professional development, research as praxis, and bi-literacy; and has presented internationally, nationally, and in state conferences.
