July 8 File your Application for Degree / Certificate at my.nmsu.edu

* Complete the Application for Degree for the current term. If an application for a previous semester was submitted, but the degree was not awarded, a new application is required.

June 21 Deadline to submit dissertation titles to the Graduate School

*This is for doctoral degrees only.

June 24 Deadline to turn in the Final Exam Form for thesis, dissertation or Professional Doctorate exams.

* This form must be submitted to the Graduate School at least 10 business days before the exam is held. The Graduate School will then send out your exam paperwork electronically to your committee chair and deans representative. All required signatures must be obtained before submitting this form. If this form is not submitted on time, you may need to reschedule your exam.

July 12 Deadline to hold a thesis, dissertation, or doctoral final oral or written exam.

* To sit for the exam during the summer, enrollment in a minimum of 1 credit hour thesis, dissertation or doctoral project hours is required.

July 24 Deadline to submit a thesis or dissertation to ProQuest format review.

July 24 Deadline to turn in the Final Exam Form for Master’s non-thesis students and Educational Specialist students.

*Contact your department advisor for departmental procedure for non-thesis exams. This form must submit be submitted to the Graduate School  at least 10 business days before the scheduled exam is held The Graduate School will then send the exam paperwork to your chair and deans representative.
