Creating myNMSU Account
- Visit https://myaccount.nmsu.edu/activation to activate your myNMSU account.
- For issues setting up your account, contact ICT services for help https://help.nmsu.edu/.
- All official NMSU communication will be sent to your NMSU e-mail account.
- Once you have completed activating your myNMSU account, you will have access to my.nmsu.edu for registering for classes.

Advising
- We strongly recommend consulting with your Graduate Program Coordinator or Advisor prior to registering for classes.
Registering
- Before registering, please check the following link for guidance: https://records.nmsu.edu/students/registering-for-classes.html.
- Sign in to my.NMSU.edu. From the home page or the "Academics" tab, find the "Student Self-Service" tile and click on "Open Student Dashboard".
- Under the Student Registration section, click "Course Registration". This will allow you to browse and register for classes, as well as browse the course catalog.
- Select Register for Classes.
- Follow instructions at Student-Registration.
Clearing Registering Holds (If applicable)
Check your registration holds in myNMSU. Clearing registration holds will avoid delays in registration.
Applying and Accepting Financial Aid
- Please visit https://fa.nmsu.edu/fafsa/index.html and review the instructions on how to apply for FAFSA. If you have already completed your FAFSA, you may add NMSU’s school code if you have not done so. NMSU’s code for Main Campus is 002657. NOTE: the NMSU graduate school states 9 credits is full time status.
- Access Financial Aid Self-Service by logging onto NMSU portal, https://experience.elluciancloud.com/mynmsu/.
- Access "Finance Self-Service" to view your financial aid status, eligibility, award, and status.
Paying Tuition and Fees
- Tuition and Fee information is available at https://uar.nmsu.edu/tuition-fees/index.html.

- Information about E-bill is at https://uar.nmsu.edu/billing/index.html.

Accepting Scholarships
- To apply and manage your scholarships, log into the Scholar Dollar$ System at https://scholarships.nmsu.edu/ with your NMSU username and password.
- This single application allows you to be considered for all NMSU scholarships.
Accessing Course Materials
- NMSU uses Canvas for course management. Use your username and password to log onto the NMSU portal, https://experience.elluciancloud.com/mynmsu/ to access "Canvas".
Getting Aggie ID Card
- Please see the link, https://services.nmsu.edu/idcards/index.html regarding Aggie ID card. The Aggie ID card is the official NMSU identification card that provides access to several campus services.
